This extremely spacious villa is situated on the edge of the Giant Mountains. It was completely renovated inside and out in 2007. It features a garden of 2000 m2 and 6 bedrooms, each with a private toilet and bathtub (or shower). From the living room you have a wonderful view of the mountains. The house has a terrace and a large lawn with fruit trees and plenty of room to play. In the vicinity there are a number of activities especially for those who love nature: the forest begins immediately by the home and the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunity for a good walk or a bicycle / mountain bike ride. For shopping the village of Žacléř is close by (1 km). Only 500 meters away lies a restaurant where you can eat out for just 10 euro per person. The city of Trutnov is 17 km away. The villa is easily reached via a newly constructed highway through Poland. Cars can be parked on private property. This villa is bright and spacious. There is a roomy dining room with a large dining table (two highchairs are available). The living room has floor heating, two sitting areas complete with armchairs, a fireplace, a TV with local channels and a DVD player. Doors provide access to the terrace from where you have a stunning view of the surrounding area. The open kitchen is fully-equipped including a 4-burner stove with oven, microwave, coffeemaker, 2 refrigerators and a dishwasher. In a separate room there is a washer and dryer. With the Giant Mountains next door, this is a perfect destination for nature lovers, hikers and (mountain) bikers. Žacléř has a mine where coal was mined up until 10 years ago. With a helmet, rubber clothing and a miner’s lamp you can visit this dark, underground world. Stachelberg (10 km) is an unfinished artillery fortress dating from the late 1930’s. The extensive underground network of tunnels can be toured with the aid of a guide. Trutnov (17 km) is the nearest large city. In the square stands a statue of the giant Krakonoš, after whom the Giant Mountains were named. Trutnov is a great place to do a bit of shopping and there are plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy a good meal. There is also a beautiful open-air swimming pool with sauna and solarium plus a fitness room. Trtunov even has a natural pool ("Dolce"; ± € 3 pp / pd) with clean water and a specially demarcated shallow area for children. In the summer bobsledding, monkey climbing and more are possible in Pec pod Sněžkou (30 km). You can also take a chairlift to the summit of the highest mountain in Czech Republic, the “Snowhead”. The unique natural environment of Adršpach (32 km), with 16,000 jagged sandstone cliffs, is ideal for hiking, mountain climbing and abseiling. The Dvur Kralove Zoo (35 km) has the largest collection of animals in the Czech Republic (about 2700 animals on 64 acres). You can take a safari bus tour and from here you can visit the nearby castle of Kuks. Be a real rider on a horse, pony or donkey. Take lessons or enjoy a day tour (suitable for people of all ages) in Kněžická chalupa (on the road from Vrchlabí near Spindleruv Mlyn, 45 km). Of course there is more to see and do in the Giant Mountains than can be described. And a day in Prague should also not be missed. Just 2 ½ hours by car and you can be in the most beautiful city in Central Europe. Be sure to visit Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. This house, situated on the outskirts of the quiet village of Horni Brannáwith, lies at the foot of the Giant Mountains. The house is located on a hillside and offers a beautiful view of the Giant Mountains to the front and fields and woods to the rear. The accommodation, with two apartments, is suitable for rent by two or more families. It is an ideal place to spend a holiday together, yet it still provides sufficient privacy for all. The house has room for 8-14 persons. It is surrounded by a large garden of more than 3000 m2 and offers plenty of sunshine as well as space for children to safely play. During summer you have access to a swimming pool and a field where you can play volleyball or badminton. At night you can enjoy a cozy campfire in the garden. Firewood is free. At a distance of just 750 meters you will find the center of the village with its shops and supermarket where you can do your daily shopping and purchase delicious fresh bread! The village also has an old monastery and two restaurants. In principle the building consists of two accommodations as the house was originally composed of two separate (but now connected) floors. Each apartment offers a special atmosphere and consists of a large kitchen with a beautiful view of the mountains, two large living and bedrooms and a large central hall. Downstairs there is room for 4 to 8 persons, while upstairs can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. The apartments are linked by a beautiful staircase. On the ground floor there is access to a vast hall. There is a large residential kitchen (4 x 4.5 m) with a beautiful view of the hillside. Next there is a separate storage room, a bathroom equipped with a sink and bathtub, and a separate toilet. There are two large living and bedrooms (5 X 5 meters and 4.5 x 5 meters). Both rooms are furnished with a double bed and a separate bed and have a sink with hot and cold running water. In addition to the tourist town of Spindleruv Mlyn (with related attractions), there are also smaller mountain villages which have their own charm. The Giant Mountains have numerous hiking routes, many of which are ideal for families with children. There are also challenging routes for experienced hikers. In the vicinity you will find the 'Bohemian Paradise' (rock city) with its huge and impressive rock formations. You will also find both ancient ruins and old castles as well as country houses. A few kilometers away there is a small, beautiful city of Jilemnice which has a nice marketplace. A visit to the district capital of Semily is also highly recommended. From this city you can access a beautiful trail which runs through the surrounding area. In the neighborhood lies the town of Semily Bozkov, especially known for its cave which you are free to explore. The village also has several smaller museums: a ski museum, violin museum and home museum. At a distance of just 5km away you will find the city of Vrchlabi. Centrally located in the Giant Mountains, its chief attraction is a castle and museum, although you will also find numerous shops, restaurants and a variety of other facilities including several large supermarkets. Or what about a visit to Prague? Located just slightly more than 1 hour from Horní Branná, it is recommended that you drive to the periphery of the city by car and then take the metro or a tram to the city center. This house is located in Horní Rokytnice, 300 meters from the valley station of the Horní Domky chairlift. The lift is in use in the summer season (from May to the end of September) and can take you to the top of the Giant Mountains. Bikes are available for free. An ideal starting point for cyclists and hikers. The Giant Mountains are a very attractive tourist destination: a fantastic natural environment, opportunities for sports and many interesting places to visit. Rokytnice is a great place from where you can explore the surrounding area. The house is situated between two squares in Rokytnice. All amenities are close by. The house has two living rooms, two kitchens, four bedrooms and each bedroom has its own bathroom with toilet - ideal for groups of up to 16 people. The house has a garden of 500 m2 with a furnished terrace with pergola, a pool of around 3.60 x 0.80 meters and a fireplace. Cars can be parked outside the house, on-site. On the ground floor there is a hallway, toilet and storage room for bikes etc. In the living area (with TV) you will find tables and benches which you can arrange as you want. On the ridge you will find the so-called Magistral, a 40 km long route with many wonderful vantage points of the Czech Republic and Poland. During your trip you will pass beautiful mountain huts which now operate as a restaurant. For water lovers there is a pool in the garden, but there is also an outdoor swimming pool located 6 km away. Just 500 meters you have the opportunity to enjoy tennis, fitness or bowling. Additional activities in the area include: karting at 700 m and a disco (600 meters, open on weekends). Vrchlabí (35 km) is a charming town with nice shops and a small airport with sightseeing flights. The famous town of Harrachov has a mini-brewery, glass museum and famous ski jumps. Nearby are the Mumlava waterfalls. In Bozkov (25 km) there are beautiful dolomite caves. Liberec is the main town of the district (50 km) and has the largest entertainment center in the country: the Babylon subtropical swimming paradise and shopping center. The city is ideal for shopping and dining out. The zoo here is also well known, as is the magnificent Ještìd Mountain. From a modern restaurant in a television transmission tower you have a fantastic view of the area. That certainly makes a trip to Liberec's worthwhile! No smoking in the house.
